May 9, 2018 | Know the Gophers: Jonathan Webb
MINNEAPOLIS – In brief career so far with Gopher Track & Field, redshirt sophomore Jonathan Webb has already written his name all over the Minnesota record books. The Woodbury, Minn. native holds program top-ten marks in seven different events, including three indoor (60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 4×400-meter relay) and four outdoor (100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 4×100-meter relay, and 4×400-meter relay). Earlier this season Webb added Second Team All-America honors to his resume as a member of the 4×400-meter relay team that finished 12th at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.

MINNEAPOLIS – After earning Second Team All-American honors with a 10th-place finish in the heptathlon at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Gopher junior Teddy Frid has turned his focus to the decathlon in the outdoor track & field season. Last weekend Frid finished ninth overall at the 2018 Bryan Clay Invitational, his first decathlon competition as a Gopher.

MINNEAPOLIS – The No. 13/14 Gopher Hockey program is heading east this week for a rare Thursday/Saturday series against Big Ten opponent Michigan State. Minnesota last met the Spartans for a two-game home series in early November, winning both games by scores of 3-1 and 4-0. The Gophers will begin the series at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich. on Thursday before traveling to New York City to complete the series in the Big Ten Super Saturday Doubleheader at Madison Square Garden.
